Granting Required Permissions
On first run you'll be prompted to enable several system permissions—this is essential for blocking to work correctly:
- Usage Access: to measure app usage.
- Notification Access: to suppress notifications during blocks.
- Accessibility Service: to detect foreground apps & block websites.
- Draw Over Other Apps: for blocking overlays.
- Ignore Battery Optimizations: so the service isn't killed in the background.
- Device Admin (optional): if you choose "Lock device during block".
Activating Zentra
- Open Zentra and tap "Set as default launcher."
- In your system Home & default apps settings, choose "Zentra."
- From now on, pressing Home brings up your new clean home screen.
Home Screen Tour
- Pixelated Time Widget: shows current time in a minimalist pixel font.
- App Grid: your installed apps, icon pixelated for focus.
- Top Apps Widget: quick glance at most-used apps.
- Pull-down menu / Settings gear: access schedules, analytics, preferences.
